FALL IS FOR PLANTING! You may have
heard us say that before, but do you have any
idea how much we mean it?
At Warner's, when you purchase and
plant one of our trees or shrubs in the
Fall, we guarantee that plant to leaf out
next Spring.
That's because we know that plants do better
when given a chance to get settled in before they
get busy growing in the Spring.
Although your plants are dormant during the
Fall and Winter months, the roots are still
active. This allows their root system to get
established in their new home, giving you more
visible growth next Spring. Besides, the
weather is so nice, wouldn't you rather be out
planting now, rather than in May when it's snowy
and cold?
Right now at Warner's, we have quite a few
trees and shrubs looking for a new home. You'll
find discounts on just about everything we have in
stock. It's not because these plants aren't good
anymore, but let's face it, they're going to look
a lot better next Spring if they spend the winter
in your yard than if they spend it in ours!
If you're not sure what to get, don't worry,
we know what will work best in your area and will
help you find something you love. Our salespeople
are knowledgeable, friendly, and know a lot
about our crazy microclimates and gardening
in our region.
You can even call to schedule an appointment
with one of our salespeople, so you don't have to
worry about fighting the
crowds! | |

"Grown
Up" Fall Festival
Saturday, October 2nd, 10am to
2pm
Our Fall Festival is all grown up! This
year, we're dedicating one Saturday just for the
Grown up's. (We'll still have our Family Fall
Festival, it will be held on the 23rd of
October).
Our theme is "From the Garden to the
Table", and we will feature gardening
seminars, food demonstrations, and arts and
crafts vendors.
For added fun, we'll also have some
contests for you to participate in. First is our
Salsa Competition. To enter,
please bring your salsa recipe, enough
salsa for tasting, and a spoon (by
10:30am). We will provide cups and chips for
sampling. Judging will take place from 11am to
12pm. If you're challenged in the kitchen like
me, don't worry, you can still participate!
Everyone is welcome to sample and
vote!
Next is our Giant Veggie
Contest. The only rule is that your
veggie must be home grown. Bring it in on the
day of the festival, and we will judge them
throughout the day and announce the winner the
following
week. | |
