Year Round Favorites

ANTHURIUM – The foliage is shiny and dark green, while the flowers are very showy. Available in reds, pinks, lavender, and whites, the flowers are heart shaped, and can last up to 8 weeks. Anthuriums require little care, and bloom almost continuously in good conditions. This blooming plant likes bright light and needs to dry out to the touch between watering, making good drainage essential. Even when they are not in bloom, they are a beautiful foliage plant.
Peace Lily (Spathophyllum) – Peace lillies come in many varieties, from small delicate leafed plants to ones with giant elongated leaves. They can all produce a white bloom. This is an extrememly easy plant to care for with only a moderate desire for bright light and slightly elevated moisture needs.
Schefflera – The Schefflera is characterized by foliage arranged in groups of 3 to 7 leaves at the end of the stems, similar to spokes on a wheel or umbrellas. Schefflera’s make great houseplants due to their low need for maintenance. These plants come in all green leaves or green and yellow variegated.
Cyclamen – A wonderful, small blooming plant for indoors, cyclamen produce a succession of uniquely shaped, delicate flowers that are held well above their foliage. Their colors are great and the flowers last. Even the leaves are interesting, with their heart shapes and distinctive markings. Cyclamen really are one of the nicest indoor blooming plants around.
